THREE Haldon Trail Runners compted in races at the weekend.
Alice Stuckey and Val Blacklock did the Great West Run half marathon in Exeter, which started and finished at the city’s athletics track at Exeter Arena.
Thousands of people took part in the 13.1-mile race as well as a 10k as even more watched and cheered from the side of roads around the city.The race route took in the city centre and the University of Exeter, plus a section took runners out to Stoke Woods before returning through Stoke Hill.
The results saw Alice finishing in a PB of 1:45.08 while Val crossed the line in 2:22.29.
Meanwhile, Rob Coombs travelled north for the Great Manchester Run 10k. The race, which also had a half marathon, saw people start and finish in the city centre and also involved Salford Quays, taking runners close to Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground.
Rob finished the 10k in a time of 48.36.
