ROUND four of the Snowbee Top Rod competition was at Wimbleball, high on Exmoor near Brompton Regis.
Wimbleball is 375 acres in size and nine boats soon went to all areas of the lake to fish, with 17 anglers making the trip.
The best tactics on display were floating line and diawl bachs and dries or Intermediate and DI3/5 with pulled lures.
A total of 49 fish were caught for a bag weight of 115lbs 6oz with six Anglers catching their five fish bag.
The average catch on the day was 2.9 whilst the average weight was 2.4lbs. Meanwhile, Darren Penfold and Alex Venn caught the biggest fish at 5lbs 1oz and 4lbs 11oz respectively.
Willand’s Alex Venn was first overall, followed by Darren Penfold (Liverton), Chris Bolt (Kingsteignton), Mike Steer (Bovey Tracey), Steve Floyd (Moretonhampstead) and then John Hern (Exeter).
