STOVER Golf Club have just played host to the Women’s County Finals and have garnered a lot of praise for their work towards the success of the event.
Having re-opened their newly renovated course earlier this year, Stover have now held a flagship event in the English golfing calendar.
Nottinghamshire were named as the champions for the second time in their history after overcoming Surrey in a hugely dramatic finale.
The opening foursome of Laura Morris and Jorja Newbold clinched their match, the third one, on the 18th green and this secured the top prize for their county, even with two games still out on the course.
British & International Golf Greenkeepers Association were one of many bodies to commend Stover GC, writing on social media the following: “Huge well done to the greenkeeping team for preparing the course.”
