THERE were a pair of competitions for the senior section at Stover Golf Club to get involved in recently with both the Bert Chalker Cup and Doug Perry Cup on the line.

Starting with the Bert Chalker Cup and Barry Luscombe came out on top after scoring 37 points.

It was extremely tight with the top three all notching 37 and so countback was required to separate them. Barry was first ahead of Paul Silk in second and Ashley Hocking in third.

Onto the Doug Perry Cup and countback was called into action once again at Stover. Tom Haynes and Tony Lloyd boasted 35 points apiece with the former snatching second, but 37 was the total to beat, achieved by Peter Lamont.

The winning duo were each presented with their silverware by this year’s senior captain at Stover, Richard Cull.
