AN impressive score of a Nett 66 secured Lin King the honours in Teignmouth Golf Club’s Ladies opening trophy competition last Wednesday, April 16.

The Margaret Hutchings Salver is the first board comp of the season and though the weather stayed fine, a strong breeze combined with a good run on firm ground, made it a challenging ask.

A strong field of 41 ladies teed off for the 18-hole medal with all to play for.

Lin played a steady round, dipping on the turn, but a brilliant birdie of four on the long par five 13th was when she really kicked into gear, finally carding the Nett 66, two ahead of 2nd place Sarah Plunkett Nett 68, and well clear of 3rd place Kate Eustace with Nett 70.

Congratulations to Lin for her great golfing!
