IN the week commencing May 27, Dainton Park Golf Club held the Seniors Captain Charity Day, where 102 players took part.
On the line was the Don Crab Cup for the overall winner along with many other prizes on holes- including nearest the pins and longest drives all to be contested. The Tony Mason Cup was to go the way of the best over 70-year-old score on the day.
73 people attended the traditional meal as the celebrations went from the day and into the early evening, senior captain Mike Lang presenting the prizes at the close of play.
The two major trophies presented at the dinner were the Don Crab Cup, won by Patrick Darch thanks to his excellent score of 41 points, and the Mike Morgan Trophy. Steve Johnson was the recipient of the latter and both can be seen pictured alongside captain Lang.
