THE current NASDL season came to a finish on Friday night at The Rec.
Eight finals were played, making for a busy and fantastic night of darts with players coming together to celebrate the end of the season in style.
First up was the Mixed Pairs, with Sarah Winsor and Steve Rice fighting back from losing the first leg to beat Lorraine Dabrowiecki and Danny Belsten.
In the Open Pairs, Dan Moger and Lee Sweeney had too much scoring power to overcome Pat Loft and Nick Jordan.
Ladies Pairs was third up with newly capped Devon player Rebecca Bowen partnering Kelly-Marie Gabriel (current Devon player) and they beat Sam Mortimore and Mel Snarey.
Bob Kelly Cup was a fantastic match in which Danny Belsten, Andy Denning (180) and Chris Hunt flew into a 3-0 lead before the younger three of Curtis Green, Ian Loveridge and Kieran Joy fought back valiantly and won 4-3.
Next on, Mark Slinger squared up to Dan Campbell in the Open Singles (lower league singles) and came out the winner 2-1.
In the Mens Pairs, Matt Stewart and Ian Henley (Taphouse Arrows) beat Chris Simmons and Seb Burns (British Legion) 3-1
Ladies Singles was next with current champion Sarah Winsor facing the challenge of Shawna Ball - it ended 3-1 in Sarah's favour- making it five wins on the trot and eight in 12.
They always say leave the best to last and the Men’s Single sure was a cracker, with Barry Brewer (Golden Lion) up against Thom Humphrey (British Legion). In a high-quality affair, Barry sealed a 3-2 win with a 116 shoot-out.
After the matches were completed - trophies were presented for both the league and competitions.
