FORGET about internet dating, the best way to find a partner is to join a running club. That’s what Tim Pratt and Susanna Goffe did when they met each other at the Teignbridge Trotters Running Club six years ago.

Fast forward to today and having run thousands of miles together, they got married on Saturday, September 21. Both of them are keen parkrun runners and it was no surprise to their friends and family that they decided to run the Parke parkrun in Bovey Tracey on the morning of their wedding!

Their fellow Trotter club mates turned out en masse to join them on their 5K run. This helped swell the numbers of finishers to a joint record total of 241 with Tim finishing third overall and Susanna as first lady across the line.

Tim and Susanna will start their married life in their home in Heathfield, Newton Abbot, but not before honeymooning in Italy.
