DAWLISH Lawn Bowling Club hosted their second Charity Day on Sunday 23 June.

These days are for new and improving bowlers and it is all about having fun and raising money for the chosen charity on the day, with 23 teams taking part.

They had a SPIDER, where players each roll a bowl into the centre of the green and the closest to the Jack wins a prize. This is always amazing to watch and the winner was Noel Nickless.

The final was between STB & White Hart Wanderers. The victorious team once again was White Hart Wanderers, they won in the final on the first charity day which was in May and so their dominance continues.

Coming up next is the Rodney Gover Cup, which will take place on August 25. If you want to enter a team of 4, then turn up on the day at 9:45am or contact Publicity Officer Mike Ferguson at [email protected].
