ABBROOK Park ladies SDL5 were in action at home against Dawlish Marina and came out on top thanks to a dominant third rink.
Losing the first two narrowly, 14-17 and 11-17, can all be forgotten about thanks to a 25-5 victory for Sue Mukherjee, Pam Carwardine and skip Liz Rollason. Another good win with six of the 10 league points to show for it.
The Men’s “B” team meanwhile weren’t quite as prolific in their two latest outings.
Things didn’t go to plan in the clash with Brixham St. Mary when one Abbrook bowler failed to turn up, meaning one rink had to play with three players at the expense of 25% of their shots.
It didn’t get any better when Babbacombe came to town with the Torquay-based team winning on every rink. Captain Lionel Wheeler labels them as a very impressive side though so now attentions turn to the upcoming clash with Bitton Park.
