A highly acclaimed big band makes a welcome return to the Pavilions Teignmouth next month .
Led by inimitable musical director Ken Parr the seventeen piece AJ’s Big band is now celebrating its fortieth year of performing across the West Country and beyond.
Following its formation in 1983, the band rapidly built an enthusiastic following in the West. In 1985 it was chosen to play the role of the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 'Little Brown Jug' at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter.
Whilst the Teignmouth’s concert on September 21 will feature the evergreen arrangements and songs from the Miller orchestra, the packed two set programme will include other swing and jazz classics from the golden age of the big bands.
Tickets for the 7.30pm concert can be booked at www.pavilionsteignmouth.org.uk or by calling the box office on 01626 249049.
