ENGLAND RFC U20s entered the final game of this year’s Six Nations in the driving seat, having won all four of their previous games.

The group knew that a fifth win, against Wales, in the final fixture would see them retain the title but it just wasn’t to be at the Cardiff Arms Park.

Teignmouth’s Ben Coen kicked eight of the 13 points as England fell to a 23-13 defeat, this result paired with the high-scoring 45-40 win for France over Scotland seeing the title change hands.

Coen’s success in Mark Mapletoft’s squad, both last year and this year, has led to him debuting for the Exeter Chiefs 1st XV as well. He ran out at the beginning of March against Sale Sharks in the Premiership Rugby Cup quarter-finals, a tournament Chiefs reached the final of.

Speaking to the club’s media, the youngster labelled it as a “game I won’t forget.”
