TEIGNMOUTH Golf Club was buzzing with anticipation on Friday 7 for the Ladies vs Men’s Seniors match.
It was played in great spirits and the ladies walked away with a surprising victory- there is next year’s rematch to look forward to already with the seniors on the hunt for revenge.
In the evening, Paul Barrington performed an amazing trick shot show as part of the golf club’s centenary celebrations. The large audience was absolutely transfixed by his unbelievable ball-striking, entertaining chat and ritual humiliation of members of the crowd.
On Sunday 9, the ladies played in the Ping Fourball Betterball competition. Congratulations to Marie Mayne and Clare Walpole who scored a tremendous 44 points, followed by Lin King and Olly Foat with 41, the club will now eagerly await to see if they qualify for the national final.
Meanwhile, in the Ladies Medal played on Wednesday, Rosie Arnold won with a nett 73 beating Sarah Plunkett on countback.
