TEIGNMOUTH and Shaldon were beaten in B Division by Budleigh Salterton, a maiden century for James Doble making the big difference.

The eventual victors put up a very impressive total of 270 having been 130-7 at one point whilst T&S were all out for 204 in reply.

Dropping down to D West and Ipplepen 2nd XI enjoyed a victory over Babbacombe.

Talking of maidens and the Pens’ Warrick Green picked up a first-ever five-wicket return for the team.

Babbacombe were sitting on a total of 140 when the final wicket fell, Ipplepen surpassing this tally with nine overs to spare.

Lastly, Abbotskerswell 2nd XI just missed out in a narrow clash with Plymouth CS&R.

Civil seemed to have done the hard bit by bowling out Abbots for 149 with two wickets for a trio of players.

Four wickets of their own falling on 60 threw a spanner in the works though and nearly cost them the game.
