TEIGNMOUTH Golf Club’s senior section had a team comprising of six pairs taking part in the latest South Devon Seniors’ League match.

This was the third match of the season and it took place at Torquay GC on June 13, playing alongside teams from Tiverton, Exeter, East Devon and hosts Torquay too.

From the six pairs playing better ball Stableford, the best five scores are added to obtain the team score.

Teignmouth Seniors secured a total of 170 points from their five pairs in the rain and wind, resulting in them coming second on the day.

However, the highlight of the day was that the Teignmouth pair of Trevor Tead and Nick James had the highest score on the day with 42 points from a total of 30 pairs, a very impressive feat from that duo which deserves huge congratulations.
