SATURDAY, October 5 saw the South Devon Golf League presentation day take place at Teignmouth GC.

A new format for the event saw a mix of A and B team players take part in a combined score Texas Scramble competition with representatives from all six South Devon League clubs, these being Churston, Dainton Park, Stover, Teignmouth, Torquay and The Warren.

The Stover team of Simon Hickey, Stuart Walker, Karl Green, Mike Copperwhite, Matt Lyne, Steve Henson, Paul McGlinchey and Andy Rich were victorious on the day, winning on countback from Dainton Park.

As part of the presentation, the representatives of the 32-man Stover SDL squad also collected the South Devon League Winners Shield won by the team for the third time in four years.
