DESPITE having to postpone the Club Championships on Saturday due to fog, 79 members at Teignmouth Golf Club took part on the Sunday, played all 36 holes and had a fantastic day.

Reigning champions hung on to their respective Gross titles whilst the Nett prizes were won by new faces.

Thomas Papworth hardly put a foot wrong, shooting 74 and 72 (146 total) to defend his crown in the men’s section whilst Susie Carr was equally as brilliant, scoring 149 (78+71) to win back-to-back Championships.

Paul Wright put together rounds of 69 and 67 (136 total) to hoist the Nett trophy and Susie prevailed again, making it a second title of the day, on an overall score of 143 (75+68).

Lorraine Dunn and Clare Walpole won the best Gross and Nett respectively in Division Two with total scores of 212 and 151.
