DAINTON’s men's team continued their strong start to the season in all competitions, beating Staddon Heights at Thurlestone GC in the Parker Trophy, a county knockout competition.

First out was Nathan Brown, and late call-up Owen Williams. Owen was planning to caddy for the match, but ended up playing after a late dropout- he played some great golf and the pair took away a 3&2 victory, finishing the match off with a birdie on the 16th.

Next up was Dan Joint & Callum Gugacz, who played some great golf and cruised to a 5&4 victory.

The last group out on the course were Joe Nicholls & Charlie Bailey, who were all square after 16 and called it an honourable half due to the state of the overall match.

Next round we have a match against Dawlish Warren at Torquay Golf Club with the date still to be confirmed.
