DAINTON Park Golf Club’s ladies had their debut match at home last Sunday in their first season competing in the Still Cup.

The Still Cup is the most prestigious Devon County Ladies’ Inter Club competition played off scratch in seven singles matches and the Dainton Park team had an amazing match result, coming out as 6-1 winners against a very strong Exeter team at home in the glorious sunshine at the weekend. 

The team had some big wins in their first ever outing in this county competition. They will play host to Tiverton this coming weekend.

The Devon League ladies’ team also had success in their first match, winning 9-6 on points – another great start to the season.
