TEIGNMOUTH Golf Club recently held their end of season Champions of Champions competition, followed by dinner and the evening presentation.

Players from the men’s, ladies and senior sections, who were successful in winning a trophy and/or competition during the season, were all eligible to play in the Champions of Champions competition during the day and attend the dinner/ presentation evening.

Derrick King was successful on the day for the men’s section, coming out on top with a very impressive 41 points.

37 points was the winning score for both the ladies and the seniors with Hannah Stephens and Andrew Tapson being the pair responsible for these totals.

Those players who were successful in winning a trophy during the year were presented with the trophies that they had won from the Men's Captain - Phil Waggett, Ladies Captain -Hannah Stephens and Seniors Captain- David Anderson.

Golf and Membership Services Manager Lorna Elliott hosted the event and evening presentation so thanks must go to her for all of the hard work.

Pictured are all of the winners on the day with their trophies.

Player of the Year awards were also given out with the victors all giving acceptance speeches, some longer than others and there were tears here and there as well.

Hannah Reynolds (Ladies), Luke Radford (Mens) and Tony McHale (Seniors) were the three section’s winners and there are also team achievements from the club that deserve shoutouts.

The Ladies pulled off a superb double as they hoisted both the Still Cup and Sheelah Creasy Bowl. The seniors prevailed in the SDSL Jamboree Trophy competition and the 325 Celebration Cup went the way of a mixed Teignmouth group.

As this is Teignmouth Golf Club’s centenary year, the celebrations are hugely deserved!
