BOVEY Tracey AFC will begin life without Tony Radford at the helm in the Walter C Parsons League Cup.

They wrote on their Twitter earlier this week that “Neil Last and Matt Hayden will become our interim management team whilst we search for a permanent manager” and the first game of their stewardship is a trip to fellow South West Peninsula League side Torridgeside AFC.

Torridgeside currently sit ninth in the division with four wins, one draw and a defeat from their opening ten games. Bovey travelled to this same opposition in early September and were edged out in a 3-2 thriller.

Newton Abbot Spurs will be in action in the same competition, welcoming SWPL Premier West strugglers Millbrook AFC to The Rec.

Braces from Tate Breslan-Aggrey and Owen Green helped Marc Revell’s men to a 6-2 win away at Axminster Town in their latest outing and so they enter the game with some form in front of goal.

In the Western Football League meanwhile, Buckland Athletic are on the road again with Bristol as the destination this time around.

Brislington are ninth out of the 20 WFL teams, five points behind seventh-placed Buckland and having played three more games than the Newton Abbot outfit too.

Four of their last five games have ended as draws in 90 minutes with the one exception being a 4-1 win at Welton Rovers, an outcome Dan Hart would surely love to replicate.

Finally to the South Devon Football League and in the Premier Division, both Chudleigh Athletic and Kingsteignton Athletic will be at home, whilst Newton 66 visit fellow highflyers Totnes & Dartington at Foxhole.

The Division One quartet of Buckland 2nd XI, Bovey Tracey 2nd XI, Newton Spurs 3rd XI and WBB 1st XI all have MJ Evans Accountants Devon Senior Cup fixtures to look forward to tomorrow.

Other games of note on Saturday worth keeping an eye on include Ipplepen Athletic 2nd XI (13th) vs Barton Athletic 1st XI (2nd ) in Division Two plus two A&S Paving Intermediate cup clashes: Chagford 1st XI vs Kingsteignton 2nd XI and Liverton United 2nd XI vs Broadhempston United 1st XI.
