WHILST the Buckland Athletic 2nd XI beat Newton Abbot Spurs 3rd XI in a local derby at Homers Heath, Dan Hart and his 1st XI were up in Somerset visiting Street FC.
For the second time this season, the Bucks have shared the points with Street, drawing 1-1 with them away from home to follow up the 2-2 tie from the beginning of September.
Ryan Bush, Buckland’s in-form goal scorer, was on target once again having netted a hat-trick the previous week as they beat Welton Rovers 4-1.
Bush’s goal earns them a big point against a fellow high-flyer and attentions can now turn to this coming weekend, when they’ll visit Brislington FC.
Barnstaple were scheduled to visit Buckland on Tuesday, October 8 only for the fixture to fall foul of the weather.
Prior to any mid-week games that do go ahead, Athletic sit seventh on 24 points with games in hand on the six sides above them.
