THE pre-season friendly between Ivybridge Town and Bovey Tracey, due to have been played at Erme Valley on Wednesday evening (July 10), has been called off to avoid a clash with England’s Euro 2024 semi-final against the Netherlands that evening.
There are no plans to re-arrange the fixture but Bovey have three other pre-season fixtures on the horizon, with a second also having been cancelled- Portland United away on July 20.
On Saturday 13, they will visit Street at The Tannery with all three games being away from home.
Saltash United (July 16) and Dobwalls (July 27) are the other two outings as Bovey Tracey gear up for another season of football.
The cancellation of this Ivybridge game does deny Ollie Aplin a swift reunion with his former side, having won the golden boot in a Bovey shirt last season.
