FOUR Haldon Trail Runners raced in the Exe Estuary half marathon on Sunday - with one winning the women's race.
The race started and finished at Budleigh Salterton in East Devon, kicking off with a five-mile loop around the River Otter before heading on the coast path towards Exmouth, where runners turned around and headed back to Budleigh, with around 1,700ft of elevation on the coast path.
Alice Stuckey was the first female and third overall in a time of 2:00.56. Hannah Lapka followed in 14th place in 2:11.46, Simon Bunday was 33rd in 2:26.02 and Cat Matthews 65th in 2:48.39.
The previous weekend, Peter Rowe headed to Gloucestershire for a half-marathon race in the National Arboretum.
He did the race in Westonbirt, which is home to more than 2,500 species of tree, including rare trees from across the world and he finished 101st in 1:49.07, continuing his return from injury.
