Abbrook Park Bowls Club ladies Anne Russell and Carolyn Wilkinson have won through to the Devon County Major Pairs. As a result, they will be invited to represent Abbrook Park and Devon in the all-England ladies' pairs finals at Lemington Spa in August.

Congratulations to both Anne and Carolyn on this notable achievement- wishing them well in their quest to become champions of England.

For other mid-season updates from Abbrook, the ladies SDL1 team are 3rd from bottom but all is very close and they will be hoping to move up. Liz Rollason's SDL5 team are topping their league with four good wins out of five, Lionel Wheeler’s MDL3 league team are in a respectable fourth place while Rob Horrell’s MDPL team are finding it tougher in the Premier League, bringing up the rear but with four or five games in hand.

Lastly, the over 55s X league team are in a respectable fourth place while the Y team are in second place.
