KINGSTEIGNTON Bowls Club had fixtures for both the men’s teams and the ladies’ teams this week.

The male Over 55 Y Team duo of M Redfern and B Beech enjoyed a pair of wins, one away at Newton Abbot and the other at home versus Ipplepen.

M Redfern 15-15 J Palmer and B Beech 28-15 A Rice in a 43-30 win over NA and then M Redfern 27-17 M Wilkes and B Beech 20-20 D Northwood in a 47-37 win. When it comes to league points, it was 7-1 in Kingsteignton’s favour on both occasions.

For the Over 55 X Team, they hosted Shaldon and lost 28-46: I Westaway 20-22 M Parker and J Saunders 8-24 C Mappin.

Lastly, there was a trip to Bitton Park in the Ladies League, which ended 72-33 in favour of the home team. M Sole 17-19 J Pitts, S Hancock 9-32 V Strutt and J Shorter 7-21 H Murgatroyd.
