BOVEY Tracey Fire Station has paid tribute to a former crew member who sadly lost his life while serving in the line of duty.
The station recently paid tribute to Roy Coombes, who passed away in the line of duty 60 years ago.
The town’s crew and cadets led a convoy from Station 20 to the Dartmoor Whiskey Distillery, which was, once upon a time, the location of Bovey Tracey’s fire station.
A one minute silence was held and flowers laid, before the congregation made their way inside to hear stories of incident from years past
‘Thank you to those who came out to support us’ a spokesperson for the station said.
