For Family Frights

Spooky Woodland Festival -A Touch of the Wild, Grammarcombe Woods, Ashcombe.

October 26, 10am-12pm or 1:30pm-3:30pm

If you go down to Grammarcombe woods you’re in for a gruesome surprise. Try your hand at apple-bobbing, broomstick crafting and marshmallow toasting. Then listen to spine-tingling tales around the campfire.

Halloween Fright Night – Shaldon Zoo

October 26-27, 3:30pm-5:30pm

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged as you take a spooky walk around the zoo to see all the animals that love to be awake after hours.

Spooky Code Cracking Trail – Canonteign Falls

October 26 – November 3

Hunt for clues as you explore the trails, lakes and play areas around Canonteign Falls. If you crack the spooky code that unlocks the safe, you win a prize.

Pumpkin carving - Powderham Castle

October 27-31, 11am-3pm

Avoid the mess at home and head to the historic Powderham Castle to carve your very own pumpkin.

DawIish Pumpkin Trail

October 2 - November 3

Pick up a trail sheet from Presents of Dawlish and find the names of all the pumpkins in shop windows around Dawlish to be in with the chance of winning a prize.

Halloween Spooky Trail – Josie’s at The Mill, Bovey Tracey

October 26 – November 3, 10am-4pm

Complete a spooky trail through the Jolly Roger showrooms. If you go on November 2, you might meet Scooby Doo.

Halloween Glass Pumpkin Workshop – House of Marbles

October 25, 10am-5pm

Master the mystical process of glass blowing to create a glass pumpkin that will be the envy of every spirit, ghoul and fairy in town. Suitable for age 12 and over.

Halloween crafting and pumpkin soup – Proper Job, Endacott House, Chagford

October 31, 10am-1pm

Create sustainable and upcycled Halloween decorations and tuck into homemade pumpkin soup for lunch. There’s even a Halloween costume swap where you can exchange your outgrown fancy dress.

Halloween Craft Workshops - Pom Stitch Tassel Bovey Tracey

Get your Halloween decorations all sewn up with a range of sessions creating everything from pom pom pumpkins and macrame ghosts through to bat cushions and hedgehog door stops. Suitable for anyone age five and over.
