FEAR not if your New Year’s resolutions have almost faded away as there is a chance to reboot them at Teignmouth Farmers’ Market this weekend.
The ever-popular monthly event takes place at Triangle in the town and will be running from 10am to 2pm this Saturday (February 22).
Did you pledge to reduce the use of plastic or vow to reduce your food miles? Then let the local farmers give your promises a boost, as Shillingford Organics uses paper bags to round up their organic carrots, as does Bread of Devon for their loaves.
And if you’re looking for support for your special diets then take a look at Veggie Deli who are based in Maidencombe for an interesting vegan and vegetarian salads and meals. Or how about being kind to your gut with fermented tempeh from Tip Top Tempeh. They have a selection of sustainable fresh live tempeh - all hand-crafted in Dawlish.
For those of you with green fingers may wish to get a head start on your garden for growing your own with Springfield Nursery with garden plants raised in their own greenhouses in Teigngrace.
And new to the market this month is goat meat from Boer Goats - the breed is rapidly gaining popularity, thanks to its reputation for high quality meat.
Other stalls featuring this weekend include Shute Fruit and Produce with preserves and elderflower cordial, pasties and pastries from Red Earth Kitchen and Italian inspired bakes and pasta sauces from Pesto.
Pat-a-Cake will have a range of cakes and traybakes, while cheese, clotted cream and yogurts will be available from Curworthy Cheese. Bushwackers of Dartmoor will have a selection of beef, lamb and hogget and there will be tasty tipples Huxbear in the form of boutique wines and beer.
All produce comes from within 30 miles of Teignmouth and is sold by the people that help produce it.
