Ghost hunters in Teignmouth will find it easier to track down the quirky art creations that mysteriously spring up around the town thanks to the creation of an interactive map.
The street artist known as ‘Teignmouth Ghost’ has installed nearly 40 popular characters on buildings around Teignmouth. Each is hand-painted onto wood and coated in epoxy resin.
Characters include the ghosts, worms, Princess Peach, Wallace and Gromit, Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog and even a lifeboat to celebrate 200 years of the RNLI. The artist frequently tries to match the characters to the type of business resident in the property.
Residents and visitors are increasingly enjoying the past-time of ‘ghost spotting’ and the map will now make it easier to find the artworks, some of which are located in less central areas.
The map showing all the ghost locations can be found at: https://tq14ghost.rf.gd/ A ghostbuster symbol on the map details characters that have been removed.
