FOOTPATHS on a Dawlish cliffside will have to remain closed for another two months, Network Rail has announced.
Engineers working on the cliffs have been hampered by recent storms, causing delays to progress as heavy rain has caused landslips.
It means the path from Lea Mount park down onto Marine Parade will remain closed until March 31.
A spokesman said: ‘The storms we experienced in recent months slowed our progress.
'Significant rainfall led to several landslips in our work area, which meant we had to take additional measures to keep everyone safe.
‘We are doing all we can to reopen them as soon as possible and are sorry for the inconvenience caused for the community.
‘Thank you for your continued patience as we carry out this work which will help protect the railway for generations to come.’
