Cyclists travelling to Bovey Tracey will be able to secure their bikes after the Town Council installed bike storage pods in the Station Road car park.

‘Having declared a “climate emergency”, the council is continually looking for ways to help mitigate the effects of global warming. Enabling people to cycle to and from work was one of the ideas,’ explained Riverside Community Centre manager Helen Tate.

The bike lockers are mainly aimed at cyclists who live in Bovey or commute to the town.

Bovey Tracey is well connected to cycle paths including the Stover Trail to Newton Abbot, the Dartmoor Way and the Wray Valley Trail to Moretonhampstead.
