AN APPEAL as been launched to find a missing lurcher who has not been seen since December.

Maisie, the eight-month-old lurcher, was last seen on Saturday December 21 near Widecombe-In-The-Moor.

She disappeared from woods between Ponsworthy and Jordan, about two mile south of the village.

Police are investigating as there is a possibility Maisie was stolen.

Despite an extensive search, she has not been found. A police spokesman said: ‘The dog is micro-chipped and the family owners would welcome her safe return.’
