NINETEEN Teignbridge Trotters ran the infamous Dalwood 3 Hills, by Axe Valley Runners, in East Devon.

It promised mud, river crosses, big hills and a great time to be had by all. They delivered on their promise on this multi-terrain run in the beautiful countryside around Dalwood. Risks included steep downhill stoney tracks in an undulating race.

The Trotters did well with Chloe Weeks 1st lady in 1:29.34, Elizabeth Nuttall 1:33.48 2nd lady and Tracy Elphick 3rd 1:36.20 taking the top 3 women’s places. What a fantastic result. Ewan Walton was first male over the line in 15th place closely followed by Roger Hayes and Steve Weeks. Great running everyone in the Trotters vest today on a tough countryside trail race. Liz Nuttall was pleased with the 2nd place result today - "I found it a challenge and whilst I quite like off road this was challenging! Very muddy very steep - legs dead by mile 7 but I shuffled on and was delighted to get to the finish line in one piece". Laura Holland said, "Came 1st in my age category (F35) and was the 20th female, my time was 1.54.50. Such enjoyable run with such a mixture of terrain. At the back of the pack Samantha Galvin and Sarah Blanchard reported having had a great time wading through the mud and streams.

“The marshals and local supporters were very friendly, cheering us on even though they had been standing in cold for some time, a special mention to the marshal at the top of the last and highest hill taking photos in the freezing wind! we were a lot muddier at the end".
