BOVEY Valley Runners recently held their Annual General Meeting which was attended by approximately 40 runners and chaired by Ruth Cassidy.

Thanks were made to Beccy Kennedy-Bruyneels and Anna Gocher who were standing down from the committee, and voted in were Tish England, Richard Gray and Mikey Campling to join the existing team.

In addition, the Runner’s Runner of the Year award was presented to Rowan Kemble. As a new Couch to 5k runner, Rowan has been an invaluable part of BVR with her support to fellow runners in the club, and now often leads the Blue 5k group each week. She has also completed several 10k races this year.

The London Landmarks Half Marathon was held in very sunny conditions last weekend and was attended by several BVR runners. It is a winding course throughout the heart of London and is extremely well-supported.

Corin Burton finished in 2:00:20, Nicola Huckerby 2:22:37, Tish England 2:34:44, Jacqui Baker 2:34:44 and Donna Osborne 2:36:31.
