AFTER impressing off of the bench in the World Rugby U20 Championship opener for England, Teignmouth’s Ben Coen was named in the starting XV for the second game.

England beat Argentina by 19 points in that first outing in South Africa and they are top of the group after two games, thanks to a one-sided affair against Fiji.

It was Fiji who got on the board first at the Athlone Stadium despite an early yellow card, but England quickly kicked into gear.

James Isaacs, James Halliwell, Henry Pollock and Kane James scored a try each for Mark Mapletoft’s side whilst Angus Hall and Toby Cousins got two apiece.

Coen may not have crossed the try line but he added a further eight points to the English score with the boot and has retained his starting spot at fly-half for his efforts.

48-11 was the final score and England’s final group game will see them go toe-to-toe with hosts South Africa.
