THREE members of the Dawlish Coasters took part in the Total Coastal events last Saturday.

Two of the group took on the half marathon race, which was held over a stunning route starting at Preston Green and following the South West Coast Path all the way along to the finish line in Shaldon. Katie Holman came home in 27th place with a time of 2:53:17 and Estelle Skinner crossed the line in 61st with the clock stopped at 3:21:11. Kirsty Walker completed her first ultra marathon on the day, which was a gruelling 50 kilometre slog on that same demanding terrain.

Zane Steers had the Dawlish Coasters club place in the London Marathon this year. Zane completed the marathon and achieved a huge new personal best in a time of 3:18:56 – beating his previous time by some four minutes.
