Teignbridge's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 11 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• A38, from 10am to 2pm on April 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Dart Bridge lane closure for surveys.

• A38, from 7pm April 5 to 5am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Goodstone Cross lane closure for drainage works.

• A38, from 7pm April 5 to 6am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Splatford Split, Kennford to Belvedere cross (Exeter racecourse) carriageway closure for horticultural works, diversion via A380 and minor road past Exeter racecourse.

• A38, from 7pm April 8 to 6am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Haldon Hill lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 7pm April 8 to 6am April 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Goodstone Cross to Drumbridges lane closure for horticultural works.

• A38, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Belvedere Cross (Exeter racecourse) exit and entry slip road closures for horticultural works, exit slip diversion via A38 westbound to Harcombe Cross and return, entry slip diversion via Old Haldon Hill and A380 to Kennford.

• A38, from 8pm April 10 to 6am April 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Drumbridges exit slip road closure for horticultural works, diversion via A38 eastbound to Clay Lane and return.

• A38, from 8pm April 10 to 5am April 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Kennford to Wobbly Wheel - mobile lane closure for electrical works.

• A38, from 7pm April 12 to 6am April 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay junction, Ashburton, entry slip road closure for horticultural works, diversion via A38 westbound to Peartree junction.

• A38, from 7pm April 15 to 6am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Peartree to Lower Dean - lane closure for survey works.

• A38, from 7pm April 15 to 6am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Clay Lane, Chudleigh Knighton, exit slip road closure for horticultural works, diversion via A38 eastbound to Chudleigh Station, B3344, B3193 and Clay Lane.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
