A SIGN saying Queen Street is closed has caused much confusion among drivers in Newton Abbot, especially as the road remains open to traffic.
The sign on Courtlands Road, pictured, says that, though businesses are open as usual, there is no access to Queen Street.
This is, however, not true.

The road remains open to traffic, with a steady stream of vehicles driving along the road throughout the day.
It is not clear why the signs have been put up - though it is likely it was done in error.
The Mid-Devon Advertiser is looking into the issue.
