THE first of several online sessions aimed at dads and males careers takes place tomorrow.
Led by the same team behind Devon County Council’s ‘Let’s Talk’ programme, the free sessions will cover a range of topics and will provide practical tips and techniques for supporting children and young people.
Let’s Talk Dads sessions will last about 20 minutes.
The first, which takes place at 7pm on Tuesday, March 11, will tackle ‘Anger and Challenging Behaviour’
Thereafter, sessions will be as follows: ‘Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing’ at 7pm on Thursday, March 13, ‘Healthy Relationships’ at 7pm on Tuesday, March 18 and ‘Drugs and Exploitation’ at 7pm on Thursday, March 20.
A spokesperson for Devon County Council said: ‘We know that parenting can be difficult at times, and that dads and male carers often face unique challenges.
‘So if you’re a dad, grandad, uncle, carer or male role model to a young person and want to help support them and keep them safe, book your place on the Let’s Talk Dads sessions today.‘
