DEVON County Council’s land assets were valued at more than £100,000,000 last year, a Freedom of Information (FOI) request has revealed.
As of March 31, 2024, the total value of council-owned land was £102,016,246, the FOI shows.
The income generated by council-owned land in the last five years was £37,749,933.
The council estimates that 40,834,190 square metres of its land is not in operational use, according to another FOI.
In the last five years, the council sold off 1,350,159 square metres, 742,849 of which was statutory transfers to academies, trust and church schools.
