Moretonhampstead Information Centre will reopen in its new home early next month.

The town’s Central Café will host the Information Centre from Monday April 7.

Moretonhamstead Information Centre stocks guides, maps and gifts and is a hive of information for visitors to Dartmoor and the Moretonhampstead area.

‘The Centre has had to adapt drastically due to the current economic climate and will not survive without support,’ a spokesperson said.

A trial of the new set-up took place and the Information Centre said it had worked very well.

‘Everyone seems to agree that the layout is bright and cheerful and offers a good range of maps, books and small gifts’, the spokesperson commented.

The Information Centre is looking for volunteers to enable it to open every day over the summer.
