AN inquest has found that a former Widecombe-in-the-Moor woman unlawfully killed her five-year-old son when she jumped with him off Haytor Rocks last year.

Katherine Hooper, 25, who was living in Paignton at the time, died on July 12.

She had earlier been seen standing close to an 80ft drop with son Joshua Patterson on her back.

Ms Hooper's other son, Samuel Patterson, was later found dead at the family's Torbay home.

In Torquay on Monday the Torbay and South Devon coroner, Ian Arrow, decided that Ms Hooper's death was self-inflicted and that Joshua Patterson had been unlawfully killed.
