Teignmouth Mayor Councillor Cate Williams wielded her scissors on Saturday morning (October 19) to cut the ribbon and officially open the town’s newest retailer, Memories of Distinction.

Owners, Kevin and Sylvia Jago had previously run the Memories in Dawlish but moved the shop to Teignmouth after their tenancy ended.

Memories of Distinction sells high quality gifts including, ceramics, crystal and bears. It is also an official ‘Charlie Bear’ stockist.

‘Everything we sell is from the UK,’ noted Sylvia. ‘The bears are from Cornwall and the cards are made in Dorset,’ she added.
