Wild swimmers in Teignmouth will be able to warm their cockles on hot coals this winter with the introduction of a sauna on the seafront.

Run by a community interest company, the Devon Community Sauna opened this week and will be available on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

While weekend sessions cost £15, wellbeing Wednesdays are ‘pay what you feel’ so the sauna can be accessible for everyone.

Devon Community Sauna hopes this will enable those with less financial capacity to access the benefits of the sauna. These benefits include reduced stress and anxiety and improved health and sleep.
