POWDERHAM Castle’s major music festival Let’s Rock has been cancelled, it has been announced.

Organisers posted the news on the Let’s Rock Exeter Facebook page this afternoon.

The retro one-day festival held in the grounds of the historic castle was due to have been held in June.

Superband Squeeze were set to headline the festival which was also due to feature appearances from Matt Goss of Bros and singer Kim Wilde.

Confirming the news on social media, Let’s Rock Exeter said: ‘We are very sorry to say that we are not able to continue with our plans to stage a Let's Rock in Exeter this year.

‘This is not a decision we have taken lightly. All ticket buyers will receive refunds automatically.’

Also due have been performing were favourites Go West, Bad Manners, Then Jerico, T-Pau, Jennie Bellstar, Pat Sharp, Thereza Bazar's Dollar and Owen Paul.
