Crews from Bovey Tracey, Ashburton and Newton Abbot attended Saturday’s incident [April 26].

Upon arrival at the Bovey Tracey property, crews saw smoke issuing from the ground floor.

And despite all persons being accounted for, the occupants’ pet rabbit was still inside.

But crews managed to successfully rescue the rabbit and reunite it with its owners.

‘This was a fire in the ground floor utility area involving an air fryer’ a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service said.

‘The cause of the fire was accidental’ the spokesperson added.
