THERE’S a chance to step into a world of 18th-century etiquette, scandal, and matchmaking in Combeinteignhead next month.

Cornwall's Miracle Theatre will be visiting the village on July 5 to bring an outdoor production of Love Riot - a vibrant retelling of Hannah Cowley's comedy The Belle's Stratagem.

Letty, promised to Doricourt since youth, prepares for marriage. Yet, Doricourt views her merely as a transaction. Facing a loveless fate, Letty reawakens her heart. Can she defy convention and find love on her terms?

Established in 1979, Miracle is one of the South West’s key arts organisations. It produces a rich mix of touring theatre, always with a unique comic style, joyful use of language and an immediate visual appeal. Miracle works with promoters to build audiences by bringing ‘big’ shows to little venues

The show will be performed at Hearn Field of Shaldon Road at 7pm. For ticket details  see https://miracletheatre.co.uk.
