A TEIGNBRIDGE village’s summer fete is shaping up to be something spectacular.

Teign Village Community Fete takes place on Saturday, June 22.

From 12pm until 4pm, the village’s football field will be a hive of activity.

Local groups, including the village’s allotment association and community shop, will have stalls.

And, of course, no summer fete would be complete without the classics - barbecue, bar, tombola, egg and spoon race, penalty shoot-out and live music.

But the Teign Valley goes that one step further, with as many as 20 classic cars on display and a tug of war competition to round out the day.

Teign Village Social and Sports Club will be supplying a trophy for the winner.

Dogs are welcome though organisers are asking that they be kept on leads.

Entry is £2 for adults and children under the age of 16 go free.
