Teignmouth’s iconic ‘letters’ will get their annual spruce up early next month.
Volunteers are welcome to pitch up and paint from 12 noon on Sunday April 6.
However, warned one of the organisers David Cox, the event is not suitable for younger children due to the sheer drops from the sea wall near the letters.
The event, organised by the Teignmouth Focus Team of liberal democrat councillors and volunteers, is part of a drive to instil pride in Teignmouth.
Located at Sprey Point on the seawall, which is part of the South West Coast Path, Teignmouth’s letters are a popular landmark and are seen by thousands of train passengers passing on the mainline railway
